On Thursday, April 5, Carly Fiorina addressed the AU community in Kerwin Hall. The event was hosted by the AUSG Kennedy Political Union and is co-sponsored by the Network of Enlightened Women, the Graduate Leadership Council, and College Republicans.

Carly Fiorina is a highly accomplished former business executive, becoming the first woman to head a Fortune 50 company when she became CEO of Hewlett-Packard in 1999. She was instrumental in transforming HP into a technology industry leader. Fiorina has always believed in giving back to the community and has been an active participant in government and politics. She has served in a large number of advisory and policy-making positions for national and state governments, including as chairman of the external advisory board for the Central Intelligence Agency; as Chairman of the American Conservative Union Foundation; chairman of Good360; and chairman of Opportunity International. In 2015, Carly announced she would seek the Republican nomination for President of the United States, capturing national attention for her platform of citizen government.

The event was a major success, and the entire 250 person lecture hall was filled! Thanks to everyone who came and to the other co-sponsoring organizations!
